Continuing to set the standard for health and safety

For many contractors Health and Safety is an obligation. For PJD Environmental, it is a priority and we firmly believe that all accidents are unacceptable. In fact, nothing is more important to us than the safety of our customers and our people.

As a business, we lead the industry in health, safety and welfare performance and have received the ROSPA Gold award for occupational safety. To promote these standards at every level, we employ a full time safety team of NEBOSH qualified personnel. We also have a well-established framework for managing, tracking, auditing and improving our health and safety performance across our operations.

This ensures that: 

• There is no harm to any employee
• We develop and continually improve our safe practices and procedures
• We continually challenge unsafe acts and take corrective action
• Even the smallest of projects is carried out safely

A culture of safety across the board

This ‘culture’ of safety exists in every sector and all our employees, including board members, are required to undergo regular assessment and training to ensure safe working practices. We also believe in being open and honest about our safety record and have voluntarily subscribed to initiatives such as the British Safety Council 5-Star audit, to ensure continual improvement.
